Asus seems to pump out a netbook every month. The trends for late 2009 seem to be larger screens at 10 inches or so, but not more than 11.6″. Also, the use of more energy efficient Intel Atom processor, battery technology, and other components are allowing for longer operation from a single charge. If you’re looking for a new netbook, you should be able to get one that can run 7+ hours without charging.
