10.1 inch screen
Netbooks Currently Listed at or below $250
The idea behind a typical netbook is net computing for a very inexpensive price (commonly within $500 or less) at the expense of hardware such as DVD drive or latest graphics card or even smaller monitors. With that said, you may find older computers reselling at much reduced price in comparison with when they were first coming out and they make a good quality netbook with “extra hardware” for the price. That’s because these were not designed to be simply just netbooks when to start with.

Still, it helps to establish some workable standards when it comes to buying a netbook. I believe that netbooks should be used for actual work, such as writing articles, minor graphics work, spreadsheet calculation, etc, although work was not the original intention behind the product.
The bigger the screen, the better for your productivity. Two sizes seem to dominate the scene: 10.1″ and 11.6″.
Netbooks with 10.1 inch screens provide a sweet spot and plenty are available for less than $250 as seen below. Smaller screens (9″ and below) only seem to be appropriate for web surfing, Facebook, and gaming. Might as well get an iPad or a tablet or use your iPhone if you’re only planning to do those.
